Marc Jacobs loves Prada

...and who can blame him?

Marc can wear and love whatever he wants as long as he keeps bringing us our LV goodies.

Naomi & Kate!| Louis Vuitton Fall/ Winter 2011/12!!

"Could the Fall/Winter 2011/12 collections end with a bigger bang?" I think not.

Louis Vuitton ended PFW yesterday with a fetish infused collection featuring the the biggest, most acclaimed models in recent history. Who else could get Naomi Campbell AND Kate Moss to fly all the way to Paris for a single show besides Marc Jacobs?

I believe that the second most import aspect to a runway show other than impeccable clothes is impeccable presentation. The models entered the runway not through the average cookie cutter hole in the wall but instead, each were hoisted to the platform via four fully functional elevators, each equipped with its personal doorman!

It seems that many designers have been inspired by the 40's post war era this season. It is the era in which shapely women were idolized, sexiness was amplified, and everyone wanted the French maid to be their mistress. Marc did an exemplary job of demonstrating this in an over-the-top fashion. J'adore!

Rubbery Fashion? Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2011

Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear

I have been absolutely, ridiculously, crazily busy these past few weeks! So much so that I haven't had the opportunity to blog or even pay any attention to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, NY. I did however get the opportunity to view the Marc Jacobs video of his Fall/Winter 2011 collection and I have to confess; I think I'm in love.

Who would think latex clothing could ever be glamorized? Why Marc of course! With the help of the House of Harlot, he was able to give latex the appearance of sequins and "rubberize" blouses. I predict that the handbags from the collection will also be a huge hit with MJ/LV ladies around the globe. There were a number of small and medium sized structured satchels that had a nostalgic Louis Vuitton-ism to them [duh].

Whoever said fashion needed to be comfortable was wrong. Sometimes, in fact many times, the most structured, form fitting and somewhat uncomfortable clothes are the most beautiful. Hence, actualizing the ole parable "Beauty is pain". Evidence below.

To view the entire video, visit the Marc Jacobs website.

I missed out of New York Fashion Week but I will surely have my eyes wide open for both Milan and Paris' fashion week starting on the 23rd of this month. Make sure to keep abreast of The Schedule tab above to reference what shows take place when.

Stay tuned, RTW FW 2011 is only now beginning!

Louis Vuitton| Spring 2011 Campaign!

So I recently posted a piece featuring a plethora of pictures of the 2011 spring campaigns from different fashion houses but, I wanted to save my favorite for last. Here's is a look at the Louis Vuitton spring 2011 campaign.

In what appears to be an episode of the geisha gone wrong, mega models Freja Beha Erichsen, Raquel Zimmermann and Kristen McMenamy showcase the latest collection of LV by Marc Jacobs.

PS, if you love those "VUITTON" clutches as much as I do leave a comment!

WHAT?! Cocaine at MARC JACOBS?!?!

Have you ever received a package in the mail that just made you say “HUH?!” Well that was probably the first reaction of the store clerk at Marc Jacobs in Soho last week when she received a very suspicious package from California. What made this package so suspicious you ask? Oh, just the fact that it contained a white powdered substance [sniffs]. At first sight the MJ employee was alarmed at the fact that it might be anthrax but after the FBI were called in they found out that it was a little bit of cocaine J.

Maybe the package was sent by a Californian cokehead that just really loved her new Louis Vuitton Vernis clutch or her chic new pair of Marc Jacobs trousers? If so, keep up the good work Marc!
