Sarah Burton, the new creative director of the house of Alexander McQueen has finally unveiled the much anticipated 2011 resort collection. This is the first women’s RTW collection completely developed without the input of the late Alexander McQueen.
Sharp shoulders, tailored torsos and lace coiffed into fine chiffon are all clearly visible in this latest collection from the British design team. I absolutely adored the cocktailed dresses with the warped bottoms and the samurai inspired shoulders. I also enjoyed the fact that Sarah incorporated some of the motifs from the McQueen Spring 2010 collection into some of the Victorian jackets.
